Lecturer, designer, author, and decorating consultant are just
a few of the titles that can be attributed to Louisiana-born Aurélien
Guillory. His university studies in Fine Arts and Clinical Psychology,
and his thesis on the relationship between personality and its
environment were to launch him as the complete interior designer!
He opened his practice "Atelier Aurélien" (Aurélien's
Studio in French), in Montreal 25 years ago. His specialty is
color composition and the custom design of residential spaces,
boutiques, restaurants, and executive suites, many of which have
won international awards.
His
designs in lighting and decor have often been admired at charity
and gala balls where he has served as consultant to diverse decoration
committees. Notable examples include the Chateau Ramezay 's centennial,
the SPCA Ball and Allegra Chamber Music 20th Anniversary Gala
at McGill University. His current work includes interior design and lectures in Canada,
and the United States, a TV show - Homes by Design, still featured
on HGTV and Life Networking Canada -, three forthcoming books,
from which his lectures are extracted, custom wallpapers, and
